This collection contains papers of Cornelius F. Kelley including one incoming letter (1952) discussing his early employment with the Anaconda Company; a speech (1937) given by Kelley at the University of Michigan entitled "Higher Education in Business"; a booklet (1955) from the Anaconda Copper Mining Company paying tribute to Kelley on his retirement; certificate (1951) of appreciation from Columbia University School of Engineering for Kelley's support; membership certificates for New York George Washington Bi-Centennial Commission (1932) and Oregon Trail Museum Association (n.d.); award certificates from the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers (1944) and the President of Chile (1950); and honorary degrees from various schools. The collection also contains a scrapbook (1928, n.d.) of clippings concerning Kelley, the Anaconda Company, and the copper industry, and letters and telegrams of congratulations to Kelley on his radio speech at a banquet honoring Herbert Hoover. Miscellaneous items include minutes (1898) from a caucus of the Silver Bow County Democratic Party electing Kelley as secretary; an unsigned letter (1898) to Lee Mantle concerning Edward Moran's court martial case; and speeches (n.d.) regarding the construction of Kerr Dam given by Sen. Burton K. Wheeler, Gov. Roy Ayers, and others
