This proceedings volume originates from a conference held in Herrnhut in June 2013. Schließlich wird die analytische Untersuchung großer Klassen von partiellen Differenzialgleichungen dargestellt, wobei HilbertRaumMethoden im Mittelpunkt stehen. Alle hierzu benötigten Hilfsmittel aus der Funktionalanalysis werden bereitgestellt. Wir fangen stets mit dem einfachsten Fall an (z.B. mit SobolevRäumen in einer Dimension) und legen mehr Wert auf die Darstellung der Ideen als das bestmögliche Ergebnis. In vielen für die Praxis relevanten Fällen kann man keine explizite Formel für die Lösung einer partiellen Differenzialgleichung angeben.
