Als Eragon nach langer Zeit bei den rebellischen Varden ankommt und ihnen bei einer wichtigen Schlacht zum Sieg verhilft, ist der Weg zum Abschluss seiner Drachenreiterlehre bei den Elfen endlich geebnet. Auch wenn das Buch stellenweise Parallelen zu J.R.R. Tolkiens "Der Herr der Ringe" aufweist, ist es ein hervorragender Erstling und ein spannender Auftakt der Eragon-Trilogie. Sehr empfehlenswert für Fantasy-Fans. Ab 12 Jahren, ausgezeichnet, Laura Varoni.
