This book is primarily a practical reference book for professional XSLT developers. It assumes no previous knowledge of the language, and many developers have used it as their first introduction to XSLT; however, it is not structured as a tutorial, and there are other books on XSLT that provide a gentler approach for beginners. The book does assume a basic knowledge of XML, HTML, and the architecture of the Web, and it is written for experienced programmers. There€s no assumption that you know any particular language such as Java or Visual Basic, just that you recognize the concepts that all

El cerrador mi vida = The closer : my story by Mariano Rivera( Recording )
2 editions published in 2014 in Spanish and English and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
The greatest relief pitcher of all time shares his extraordinary story of survival, love, and baseball. Mariano Rivera, the man who intimidated thousands of batters merely by opening a bullpen door, began his incredible journey as the son of a poor Panamanian fisherman. When first scouted by the Yankees, he didn't even own his own glove. He thought he might make a good mechanic. When discovered, he had never flown in an airplane, had never heard of Babe Ruth, spoke no English, and couldn't imagine Tampa, the city where he was headed to begin a career that would become one of baseball's most iconic. What he did know: that he loved his family and his then girlfriend, Clara, that he could trust in the Lord to guide him, and that he could throw a baseball exactly where he wanted to, every time. With astonishing candor, Rivera tells the story of the championships, the bosses (including The Boss), the rivalries, and the struggles of being a Latino baseball player in the United States and of maintaining Christian values in professional athletics. The thirteen-time All-Star discusses his drive to win; the secrets behind his legendary composure; the story of how he discovered his cut fastball; the untold, pitch-by-pitch account of the ninth inning of Game 7 in the 2001 World Series; and why the lowest moment of his career became one of his greatest blessings. In The Closer, Rivera takes readers into the Yankee clubhouse, where his teammates are his brothers. But he also takes us on that jog from the bullpen to the mound, where the game -- or the season -- rests squarely on his shoulders. We come to understand the laserlike focus that is his hallmark, and how his faith and his family kept his feet firmly on the pitching rubber. Many of the tools he used so consistently and gracefully came from what was inside him for a very long time -- his deep passion for life; his enduring commitment to Clara, whom he met in kindergarten; and his innate sense for getting out of a jam. When Rivera retired, the whole world watched -- and cheered. In The Closer, we come to an even greater appreciation of a legend built from the ground up

1 edition published in 2011 in English and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
"This report documents a governance roundtable discussion hosted by the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Joint Program Office (JPO) on June 20, 2011 at the U.S. DOT's John A. Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This discussion was organized as a first step towards establishing an ongoing process for developing a governance framework for the V2V/V2I Connected Vehicle environment. The objectives of the discussion were to: 1) gather information from experts on the topic of governance and how it is defined across different industries; 2) identify multiple approaches to evaluating and developing a governance structure or model; and 3) obtain guidance from roundtable experts and observers on a set of next steps. The roundtable was structured as a one-day forum that engaged six experts in a discussion of governance from a non-transportation perspective."--Technical report documentation page

Assateague Island National Seashore alternative transportation systems planning study and business plan for alternative transportation ( Book )
2 editions published in 2012 in English and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
"The purpose of this study was to (1) study the potential expansion of existing alternative transportation systems (bicycle facilities) and development of new alternative transportation systems in and around the Maryland District of Assateague Island National Seashore and (2) develop a business plan for implementation of a new alternative transportation system (transit). The park experiences congestion and parking capacity issues from its beach visitation, as well as challenges around signage, over-sand vehicle zone access, and bicycle and pedestrian access. Assateague Island also faces challenges as a barrier island and is likely to experience an increasingly dynamic land base on the island as a result of storms, natural shoreline processes, and sea level rise and other climate change effects. These changes raise questions about cost, sustainability, and access. The study consists of an assessment of current and future conditions and needs as they relate to transportation within and to the Maryland District of Assateague Island NS. including a transit feasibility assessment."--Technical report documentation page
