Kenedi se vraca kuci( Visual )

This is a story of Yugoslavs who left the country in war and spent over ten years in Western Europe as refugees or in asylum. In the second half of the year 2002 European Union sent many of these people back to Serbia and Montenegro together with their families, believing that there were no more reasons for their stay. Procedures for their return were usually very strict. Families would be gathered during the night, transported to the airport and sent to Belgrade on the first flight. To make things more dramatic, the majority of children born in some of the Western European countries speak and write the other language better than the mother tongue. As they sold everything they owned when they were leaving the country, they are facing a situation where normal life is practically impossible
Kenedi goes back home by Želimir Žilnik( Visual )

in Multiple languages and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Žilnik follows the story of people and families--specifically focusing on friends Kenedi and Denis--who left Yugoslavia during the war in the nineties and settled in Western Europe as refugees or asylum seekers, who were then forcibly repatriated in 2002. It tells of how they were often collected with no warning, and given no chance to find accommodation or jobs before they were sent back, which was often a problem as children returning to Serbia often spoke the language of the Western nation where they grew up better than their "mother tongue." Often Roma were targets of this plan

The protagonists of this docu-drama are old farmers who migrated to Banat after the First World War, in 1922. The drama is focused on a couple of important events in their lives. While he was feeding his bull Buda Brakus is seriously injured and taken to hospital for surgery. During his recuperation his old friends visit him and he evokes his memories from the First World War. He remembers being wounded, lying in bed in hospital in Bizerta, crossing Albania, time spent in America in 1910. Archive material has been used for these segments. Brakus goes to a spa where he meets Hungarian people of his age. At the time when Brakus first settled in Vojvodina, they were mainly working in mills or helped the newcomers as bricklayers when they were building their houses. The impressive lives of all the protagonists are woven into the lively scenes and stories full of wise instances, and their statements become spontaneous recounts of the lives of people in this region--Container
