Building a high-performance, programmable secure coprocessor by Sean W Smith( Book )

7 editions published between 1997 and 1998 in English and held by 12 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Abstract: "Secure coprocessors, as previous work has demonstrated, enable secure distributed applications by providing safe havens where an application program can execute (and accumulate state), free of observation and interference by an adversary with direct physical access to the device. However, for these coprocessors to be effective, participants in such applications must be able to verify that they are interacting with an authentic program on an authentic, untampered device. Furthermore, secure coprocessors that support general-purpose computation and will be manufactured and distributed as commercial products must provide these core sanctuary and authentication properties while also meeting many additional challenges, including: the applications, operating system, and underlying security management may all come from different, mutually suspicious authorities; configuration and maintenance must occur in a hostile environment, while minimizing disruption of operations; the device must be able to recover from the vulnerabilities that inevitably emerge in complex software; hardware constraints dictate that support for advanced cryptography depends on reloadable software; and physical security dictates that the device itself can never be opened and examined. This paper summarizes the hardware, software, and cryptographic architecture we developed to address these problems. Furthermore, with our colleagues at IBM, we have implemented this solution, now available as the IBM 4758 secure coprocessor."
Using a high-performance, programmable secure coprocessor by Sean Smith( Book )

3 editions published in 1997 in English and held by 6 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Abstract: "Unsecure computational environments threaten many financial cryptography implementations, and other sensitive computation. High-performance, programmable, secure coprocessors can address these threats. However, numerous technical and business challenges arise when building such devices, particularly in solving the trust and security problems such devices introduce. This paper discusses how we have addressed these challenges in the development of a commercially available secure coprocessor. This device combines a programmable yet secure architecture with state-of-the-art physical security and cryptographic performance. With this technology, we finally establish a practical foundation for widespread development and deployment of coprocessor-based security solutions in the electronic commerce arena."

All's well that ends well by Steve Lukather( Recording )

Kurzbeschreibung Der Ausnahmemusiker, Grammy-Gewinner und Gründungsmitglied der legendären Rockband TOTO veröffentlicht sein 6. Soloalbum! Darkness In My World 2. On My Way Home 3. Can¿t Look Back 4. Don¿t Say It¿s Over 5.
