Pratiques liturgiques d'Églises luthériennes et réformées en France : vie liturgique, dynamique communautaire et identité ecclésiale by Joan Charras Sancho( Book )

2 editions published in 2015 in French and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Liturgy has long been considered as a strong feature of the identity of Lutheran and Reformed Churches. It was their tradition to produce their own liturgy with a standardised and unvarying usage. Over the last few decades, social and religious changes, coupled with on-going unions between Churches have demonstrated the wide diversity of Liturgies used in the parishes of any one Church. In this diversity three ecclesiological aspects come particularly to the fore: liturgical life, in its foundations and practices, community dynamics and especially the place give to liturgy within this and finally ecclesial identity, in order to find out how far liturgy is a an expression of or an active part of identity. The research work carried out as part of this doctorate uses these three subjects to establish initial and transverse liturgical criteria and then compares these with data gathered in the field in order to assess the gap between what is important from a theological point of view for the Churches of the Reform, what is practiced in parishes and what is perceived by parishioners

2 editions published in 2009 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Although French society continues to bear signs of its Christian foundations, the Christian "faith universe" has become unintelligible for a significant number of French citizens. Having made this observation, this thesis argues that there is an Evangelical Protestant world view and a Roman Catholic world view that comprise two systemic realities which maintain two particular perceptions of reality that are rooted in two specific understandings of the saving work of Jesus-Christ. Our hypothesis is that these two multidimensional world views exist within a sociocultural context that offers meaning and answers to life's ultimate questions to the French people. This thesis analyses the manner in which Evangelical Protestants and Roman Catholics present the message of Christ to the French since 1965, and the process of conversion that they expect from those individuals who decide to enter into their "faith universe". The goal of this analysis is to throw light upon the systemic realities that are at the heart of their perceptions of reality. Both theological and practical in nature, this study examines the unbelief of our times, and the paths that lead men and women from unbelief to a living experience of God, with the aim of helping today's Christians to more intelligibly live and communicate their faith

2 editions published between 2011 and 2013 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Born in America about 50 years ago, the inclusive christian movement advocates, according to the Gospel, for the full inclusion of the Lgbt people in the life and ministry of the Church, et tries to eradicate any kind of exclusion .It gathers parishes, groups and communities that provide hospitality to the Lgbt people in the Churches, in the name of Jesus-Christ. It doesn't constitute an organized movement but il reflect's a great diversity of theological, pastoral and political options. We have used a sociological survey to approach those welcoming christian parishes, groups and communities. We have tried to elaborate a typology, based on 16 models, that could do justice to the diversity of pastoral strategies. We also have tried to articulale a theology of hospitalité. induced by this practice of welcome and disseminated in an abundant collection of liturgical, pastoral and apologetical literature. We therefore have tried to present, in a systematic and somehow transitory way, the converging and diverging reflexions coming from that movement, its practices of welcome and its theologians. They make of the hospitality of God, expressed in Jesus-Christ, the foundation of community life and ethical investigation of how to relate with one another in sexuality as in life together

1 edition published in 2013 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

1 edition published in 2014 in French and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
