2 editions published in 1934 in English and held by 4 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"The source of cells which give rise to the new tissues and organs in regeneration has been described in a large number of animals. In Section I a review of the literature dealing with this subject in a number of groups of animals - Amphibia, Reptiles, Mammals, Oligochaete and Polyehaete Annelids, Nemerteans, Sponges and Coelenterates - will be made. The source of the cells which proliferate new cells in the growth of certain tissues - Epidermis, Retina, Muscle, Notochord, Cartilage and Gut, as well as intravascular multiplication of Erythrocytes - will be dealt with in Section II. This will embrace the original observations of the present author. The literature available on this topic is scanty and will not be treated separately but incorporated into the text of the observations - with due credit to the authors concerned. In Section III a few notes on ""The Form of Epithelial Cells During Division", "Cellular Dedifferentiation1" and a Summary will be given." --

These are typically incomplete. To the present time there has not appeared a full account of-the species inhabiting the freshwaters of this Province based on studies and collections made over a wide range. [...]" --

Some observations on the animal ecology of Molson's Creek by H. D Lead( )

1 edition published in 1937 in English and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"It has been shown that very little work has been done on the ecology of streams. In Canada practically nothing has been done except in the interest of the fisheries. The value and place of such fresh water studies in our present civilization should be appreciated more than they have. The investigation of Molson's Creek is strictly that of synecology, that is, the stream as a whole. The present work merely records environmental conditions and illustrates the fundamental principles underlying the balance of nature in most stream habitats. The author intends to enlarge the present work later when additional observations will justify the establishment of natural laws and a more detailed study of habitats. [...]" --
