Collection of seven documents relating to the Herkimer family. Includes: letter from Johan Jost Herkimer to Henry Van Renssealer, written in Dutch, October 9, 1738. Accounts of Nicholas Herkimer, 1767-1774. Copy of the last will of Henry Herkimer, dated August 17, 1778. Annexed to the will are letters of administration for Herkimer's sons Nicholas and Honyost Herkimer, April 30, 1784. Deed dated December 6, 1761, from Johan Jost Herkimer to his daughter Elizabeth Herkimer Schuyler, wife of Pieter D. Schuyler; for land known as Fall Berg in Canajoharie, N.Y. Petition for a pension from Mary Crouse (or Krous), wife of deceased Gen. Herkimer, to the Senate and Assembly of New York, endorsed on verso, "In Senate, Ap. 10, '86." Notice that Peter J. Digart "made a location" on October 3, 1791, on part of the estate of John Jos. Herkimer. As the appraisal was never completed he requests an answer as to his deposit.
