Includes authorization to Sir Richard Howard for payment of £250 to Mrs. Gwyn from the excise money, signed by Henry Guy, 1670 June 28; apothecary's bill (8 folio pp.) with references to "Old Mrs. Gwin" and "Mr. James," etc.; glazier's bill for cutting and inserting glass windows, 1675 Aug. 31; itemized bills for horsemeat; housekeeper's bills, itemized with prices for food; bill of Richard Howe for white satin petticoats, nightgowns, etc., 1675 July 17; miscellaneous bills for lace, coal, shoes, gloves, dresses, hats, beer, ribbons, etc. Also clippings and ca. 15 prints of Nell Gwyn or Charles II and places associated with them. Includes manuscript license dated 1832 Dec. 29 and signed by the Lord Chamberlain granting permission to perform the play "Nell Gwynne" at the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden.
