It was the most infamous event in a long string of broken treaties and separate acts of racism, greed and misguided efforts by whites to force Indians to assimilate. Video chronicles the history of the once indomitable nation of buffalo-hunting warriors, led by Crazy Horse, who called themselves Lakota, meaning "the Allies." Milo Yellow Hair recounts the story from the lost battles to the radicalization of the American Indian Movement in the 1970s, to the present day revival of the Sioux cultural pride and an attempt to regain their lost territory.
