Collection contains six letters or certificates by Camuccini authenticating and evaluating works of art on biblical themes and approving copies after Guido Reni and Caravaggio by Melchiorre Missirini and others. In two letters to Missirini (April 24, 1829; Oct. 19, 1941), Camuccini discusses his involvement with the Accademia nazionale di San Luca, and his plans for painting "Joash Recognized," an Old Testament theme concerning the coronation of Joash as king of Judea.
