Auf Grundlage dieser Lehre gab Steiner einflussreiche Anregungen für verschiedene Lebensbereiche, etwa Pädagogik (Waldorfpädagogik), Kunst (Eurythmie, anthroposophische Architektur), Medizin (anthroposophische Medizin), Religion (die Christengemeinschaft) oder Landwirtschaft (biologisch-dynamische Landwirtschaft). Knowledge of the higher worlds and its attainment by Rudolf Steiner( Book )

234 editions published between 1900 and 2014 in 12 languages and held by 1,147 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Rudolf Steiner's fundamental handbook for spiritual and personal development continues to grow more modern each day. His methods nevertheless remain clearly distinguishable from the many others that are generally available today. First, Steiner's path of spiritual growth is based on the clarity of thought normally associated with scientific research. Rather than denying clear thinking, his aim is to extend it beyond its present limitations. Second, Steiner recognizes as all genuine disciplines always have that the path to spiritual experience is arduous and dangerous, calling for tremendous self-control in thinking, speech, and action. The human being is a unity, and we cannot develop real knowledge without a corresponding development of feeling and volition
Theosophy; an introduction to the supersensible knowledge of the world and the destination of man by Rudolf Steiner( Book )

142 editions published between 1010 and 2016 in 7 languages and held by 1,022 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Austrian philosopher, playwright, and artist Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) is perhaps best known as an educational philosopher and reformer, the founder of Steiner (or Waldorf) schools located around the world. These schools' philosophy represents the priorities Steiner discusses in Theosophy: the development of body, soul, and spirit. Goethe was an important influence on Steiner, and he edited the poet's scientific works (1889-1896). Steiner was an active member and leader of the German branch of Madame Blavatsky's Theosophical Society, eventually broke away from theosophy, as he developed his own spiritual philosophy termed 'anthroposophy'; this philosophical movement asserted the potential of realizing a spiritual reality through cognition. This 1910 translation by Elizabeth Douglas Shields is of the book's third German edition; it was first published in 1904. This work will be of particular interest to historians of philosophy, of spiritual movements and of education

Discussions with teachers : fifteen discussions with the teachers of the Stuttgart Waldorf School, August 21-September 6, 1919 : three lectures on the curriculum, September 6, 1919 by Rudolf Steiner( Book )

22 editions published between 1967 and 1997 in English and German and held by 168 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Together with the Study of man and the Practical course for teachers these lectures form the basic material with which Rudolf Steiner endowed the teachers of the original Waldorf School in Stuttgart. Unlike the other two courses their subject matter arises out of practical tasks which Steiner suggested to the teachers, and they contain his comments on the proposals made by them on a great variety of subjects. Much is said about the importance of the temperaments in education, but the teaching of history, geography, botany, zoology, mathematics, geometry, religion--to mention only a few subjects--is illuminated through Steiner's unique approach to childhood. Many practical problems of dealing with the difficulties of individual children and groups receive also unusual and penetrating treatment. It is a book in which we see a great teacher educating teachers.--Page [4] of cover
