Memoirs of a Jew who was born in 1931 in Czernowitz and grew up in Yedinits (Edineti). Pp. 28-63 relate his experiences in the Holocaust. On 22 June 1941, the day of the German-Romanian occupation, he and his mother were in Czernowitz. Many of the Jews in Yedinits were murdered by Romanian soldiers; those who remained were sent on a death march to Transnistria, as was his father, who was killed on the way. In October 1941 Govrin and his mother were also sent to Transnistria, where they were interned in the Moghilev ghetto. They were liberated in March 1944 and emigrated to Eretz-Israel in 1947

He was arrested as an illegal immigrant in Israel before being accepted as a resident. This is his story
