Here he tackles subjects as varied as religious ethics, social philosophy, marriage, education, psychology and art. Tales of the Hasidim by Martin Buber( Book )

71 editions published between 1947 and 2013 in English and held by 1,916 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"This new paperback edition brings together volumes one and two of Buber's classic work Tales of the Hasidim, with a new foreword by Chaim Potok. Martin Buber devoted forty years of his life to collecting and retelling the legends of Hasidism. These marvelous tales--terse, vigorous, often cryptic--are the true texts of Hasidism. The hasidic masters, of whom these tales are told, are full-bodied personalities, yet their lives seem almost symbolic. Through them is expressed the intensity and holy joy whereby God becomes visible in everything." -- Back Cover

Good and evil, two interpretations : I. right and wrong ; II. images of good and evil by Martin Buber( Book )

41 editions published between 1950 and 2015 in 3 languages and held by 1,488 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"The two "interpretations" which are united in this volume differ from one another in method and purpose, but they supplement each other to such an extent that I have willingly accepted the suggestion to unite them here in an external way as well. Both are concerned with good and evil, but Right and Wrong is concerned with its place in man's observation of the human world, Images with its place in the personal development of the individual man. The first deals with the apparent contradiction which holds sway in destiny, the second above all with the factual conflict which holds sway in the soul. Here an answer is sought to the question, "Why is evil so powerful?", there to the question, "What is the origin of evil?" Thus one can describe Images of Good and Evil as an interpretation because it proceeds from several Old Israelitic and Old Persian myths. These myths portray in great images the twofold prehistorical origin of that which we call evil and thereby enable the modern thinker to point out what corresponds to this twofoldness in that biographical reality of present-day man which is known to us. Right and Wrong is interpretation in another sense. Here several Psalms are examined to discover how the gradually arising and growing insight into the relation between wrongdoing and true existence is expressed in them. Taken together, the two books are to be regarded as a contribution to the foundation of an ontological ethics."--Foreword, pages [v-vi]

The first study in any language to provide a complete overview of Buber's thought, remains the definitive guide to the full range of his work and the starting point for all modern Buber scholarship. As well as summarizing Buber's early intellectual development and attitudes - his mysticism, his youthful existentialism, his philosophy of Judaism and religious socialism - it focuses on the two crucial issues of his mature thought: his dialogic or I-Thou philosophy, and his probing of the nature and redemption of evil. As a sensitive, intuitive and perennially fascinating account of one of the twentieth century's great spiritual teachers, and as an influential classic in its own right, Martin Buber: The Life of Dialogue reveals the implications of Buber's thought for theory of knowledge, education, philosophy, myth, history and Judaic and Christian belief
