1,375 editions published between 1671 and 2015 in 7 languages and held by 7,340 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

These are the notes which the great French mathematician and physicist jotted down in preparation for a reasoned defence of Christian belief. Their crude form brings home Pascal's insight into religious truths and the nature of human life with peculiar and haunting force
The provincial letters. Pensées. Scientific treatises. by Blaise Pascal( Book )

1,117 editions published between 1585 and 2013 in 12 languages and held by 6,426 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The Lettres provinciales (Provincial letters) are a series of eighteen letters written by French philosopher and theologian Blaise Pascal under the pseudonym Louis de Montalte. Written in the midst of the formulary controversy between the Jansenists and the Jesuits, they are a defense of the Jansenist Antoine Arnauld from Port-Royal-des-Champs, a friend of Pascal who in 1656 was condemned by the Faculte de Théologie at the Sorbonne in Paris for views that were claimed to be heretical. The First letter is dated January 23, 1656 and the Eighteenth March 24, 1657. A fragmentary Nineteenth letter
Pascal's Pensées by Blaise Pascal( Book )

1,532 editions published between 1669 and 2015 in 19 languages and held by 6,249 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"Included in this volume are fourteen of the fragments intended for Pascal's Jansenist-inspired defense of the Christian religion. Using the Chevalier edition, these are grouped to present a logical development of three themes, "The State of Man in Ignorance of God," "The Wager," and "The Christian Life." This translation closely follows the French text (cross-referenced with the paragraph numbers of the Brunschvicg edition) and does not conceal the fragmentary style of the original. Translated and edited by Arthur H. Beattie, this volume also contains an introduction, a list of principal dates in the life of Pascal, and a bibliography." -- Publisher's description
