Emotions erupt at a party given by the Princess when Adriana publicly accuses her of adultery. But the Princess gets even by sending Adriana a bouquet of poisoned flowers. The great baritone Mario Sereni is Michonnet, the faithful friend and theater director who is hopelessly in love with Adriana
