The album also includes images of the Columbia River and Mount Hood in Oregon and the Mammoth Springs Hotel in Yellowstone National Park. The photographs are from professional photographers, mainly George Fiske and Frederic Maude. Most are identified either on the photograph or on the page in handwriting. On the inside of the back cover, a page from Who's Who in America, 1916-17 showing the entry for James Duval Phelan is pasted on. Also is the announcement for the auction sale of the estate of Mary Louise Phelan, dated, in pen, Jan. 1935
