The Department of the Environment and Local Government (DELG) is dedicated to improving the quality of life of New Brunswickers by fostering sustainable communities and promoting the protection and responsible stewardship of air, water and land resources. Another major goal of the Department is to bring government closer to the grassroots of communities to identify local needs and issues. This annual report of the DELG gives a short description of each division, branch and section, and outlines the highlights of each section undertaken during fiscal year 2005-2006 (April 1, 2005 to March 31, 2006).
