"A new thermodynamic property formulation for oxygen is presented. The formulation includes an equation of state, a vapor pressure equation, and estimating functions for the density of the saturated liquid and vapor. The equation of state is a 32term equation explicit in pressure. The coefficients of the equation of state and ancillary functions were determined by least squares fitting of selected experimental data. In fitting the equation of state multiproperty fitting methods were used to represent pressuredensitytemperature data, isochoric heat capacity data, saturated liquid and saturated vapor densities, and velocity of sound measurements. The equation of state is valid for liquid and vapor phases except near the critical point, and the property functions may be integrated continuously through the twophase liquidvapor region for the calculation of liquid properties.
