Collection contains general business correspondence related to Morton's position on various corporate boards of directors, including Churchill Downs, R. J. Reynolds, the Pittston Company, and the Pillsbury Company. Numerous speaking engagement invitations, as well as letters seeking donations, are attached to copies of Morton's responses. In addition, the collection includes constituent letters, legislative correspondence, letters of recommendation, financial records, congratulatory notes, and some personal correspondence. Also included is correspondence related to Morton's declined nomination to serve as Ambassador to the Court of St. James.

Collection includes the accumulated correspondence, speeches, reports, articles, and other materials of Tom Wallace, editor of the Louisville Times from 1930 to 1948. The bulk of the material concerns Wallace's interests in conservation, Latin American relations, and jounalism, although there is ample material regarding World War II, race relations, and 20th century Louisville history as well. Correspondents of note include: prominent conservationists, secretaries of the interior, directors of the National Park Service, members of congress, journalists, and local and national politicians. The collection is arranged chronologically and a detailed calendar/finding aid is available.

Hill, president of The Filson Club, discussing a bill affecting libraries, the Perryville battlefield, and invitations of Filson Club meetings; five letters to Samuel Steinfield, justice on the Kentucky Court of Appeals, discussing Republican politics, the death of Cooper's mother, and Cooper's ambassadorship to the German Democratic Republic; and a letter recollecting Lyndon B. Johnson as a politician and a person.
