Message to the blackman in America: messenger of Allah, leader and teacher to the American so-called Negro by Elijah Muhammad( Book )

38 editions published between 1965 and 2012 in English and held by 701 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Message To The Blackman In America By Elijah Muhammad According to countless mainstream news organs, Elijah Muhammad, by far, was the most powerful black man in America. Known more for the students he produced, like Malcolm X, Louis Farrakhan and Muhammad Ali, this controversial man exposed the black man as well as the world to a teaching, till now, was only used behind closed doors of high degree Masons and Shriners. An easy and smart read. The book approaches the question of what and who is God. It compares the concept held by religions to nature and mathematics. It also explores the origin of the original man, mankind, devil, heaven and hell. Its title, Message To The Blackman, is directed to the American Blacks specifically, but addresses blacks universally as well. -- From https://www.amazon.com (Oct. 10, 2017)

How to eat to live by Elijah Muhammad( Book )

14 editions published between 1967 and 2011 in English and held by 160 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

In this book, HOW TO EAT TO LIVE, Messenger Elijah Muhammad, our Beloved Leader and Teacher, follows the tradition of the prophets and apostles teaching as they did not only of spiritual enlightenment but also of physicalwell-being. For example, Moses taught his people, when they were slaves in Eygpt, not to eat the unclean food of the Pharaoh. Daniel, too, resolved not to defile himself with the king's meat and drink. Having complete faith inAllah, he challenged those who ate the "king's rich food" to a test. After the ten-day testing period, Daniel and his followers were far healthier than were the followers of the king. The law given to Moses and followed by Daniel istoday being followed by Messenger Muhammad and his people. They, like Moses and Daniel, reject the swine, the prized dish of America. They, like,Moses and Daniel, enjoy excellent health and a pleasing appearance. If you want good health, follow Messenger Muhammad's rules as they are outlined in this book. Remember his teaching, which is supported by the scriptures:"A sound mind dwelleth in a sound body."Since the creation of the white race, man has fallen from spiritual and physical correctness. Adam ignored God's instructions of what to eat, eating everything that delighted the eyes and that was desired. To give life to the dead and to restore the proper life of his people, Allah has chosen Messenger Muhammad to teach and instruct us on physical well-being. As the Holy Qur'an says (21 :7): "And We sent not before thee any but men to whom we sent revelations; so ask the followers of the Reminder if you knownot. Nor did We give them bodies not eating food." Even more clear are the words to the followers of the Last Messenger-Prophet. The Ummi whom they find mentioned in the Torah and the Gospel. He enjoins them good and forbids them evil, and makes lawful to them the good things and prohibits for them impure things."Throughout scripture there are conflicts and confusion over which foods are proper and which are not. As in the past, the confusion can be resolved only by listening to the instructions of divine men. Only by following the teachings "OfMessenger Elijah Muhammad can we learn Allah's Will.Let us accept this good from the table of knowledge which Messenger Elijah Muhammad is offering. Let us not be like Judas who so often ate with Jesus and then left his table to betray him. We now have the opportunity of eatingwith a Divine man of God as the disciples ate with Jesus.Remember the teaching of Messenger Elijah Muhammad as related in the Holy Qur'an (2:168): "0 Men, eat the lawful and good things from what is in the earth, and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Surely he is an openenemy to you." If you follow this teaching and practice the rules set before you in HOW TO EAT TO LIVE, you can attain good health and a long life.John Ali, Former National SecretaryMuhammad Mosques of IslamThe Nation of Islam

For more than 30 years, Messenger Elijah Muhammad has been teaching the so-called Negroes of America on the proper foods to eat to improve their mental power, physical appearance, for prevention of illness, curing of ailments and prolonging life. Before it became a fad, Messenger Muhammad advocated eating whole wheat and staying away from bleached, white enriched flour. He has taught and maintained fats should be reduced and eliminated from the diet. He has warned about the dangers of eating from cans and wax cartons. He has cautioned the so-called Negroes to take better care in selecting food to eat. Mr. Muhammad has stated the so-called Negro should eat the young, fresh green vegetables. He has stated the lima bean, black-eyed peas and other field beans do not have food values good for the body and that they are very hard and damaging to the digestive tract. For more than 30 years, the Muslim home has stressed the baking of foods and not frying. He has cautioned his followers to be conscious of weight. Penalties are exacted from Muslims found overweight. All of Messenger Muhammad's teaching on foods and weight have been studied by white scientists, doctors and dieticians. Finally, 1959, actuaries released new average weight charts for men and women. It was no mere coincidence that their findings coincide with what Messenger Muhammad had been teaching. It was practically a verbatim transcript of the papers they confiscated when the federal government arrested him in 1942. This was followed up with a featured story on weight in the "U.S. News & Word Report," Nov. 2, 1959, which was condensed in "Reader's Digest," Feb, 1960. Their story, too, followed what Messenger Muhammad has been teaching for 30 years, that is, except the portions which advise eating pork, "Coronet" magazine, also in Feb., 1960, published an article on weight and new weight charts, according to the plan of Mr. Muhammad. And, in the April 11, 1960 edition, the "U.S. News & World Report" again reported adetailed account on the foods to eat. As one Muslim said, "They really listened to Mr. Muhammad, but they mixed it up and added to it." Everyone would do well to read this book by Mr. Muhammad on the proper foods to eat. His advice adds to your life

Yakub (Jacob) : the father of mankind by Elijah Muhammad( Book )

3 editions published between 2002 and 2011 in English and held by 22 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Yakub is a Black Scientist introduced to the public by Elijah Muhammad. Elijah Muhammad told of his history as being the father of mankind or the maker of the white race. This teaching proved to be one of the most explosive within the Nation of Islam's theological and mathematical doctrine. Thought to be a myth, especially among those who gravitated more towards Orthodox Islam or Christian Science, which by the way, don't accept Elijah Muhammad as being authentic, but since the cloning of the sheep Dolly and other organic species, the facts that Elijah Muhammad attributed to this man cannot be discounted unless we all suddenly agree that "Dolly" never happened. This book is very controversial, but so is any information that is denied because of the fear of its impact on society. Professor Mendel's theory of grafting was resisted - until scientist began testing. Once the proof is present, talk became mote. Regardless of what's said about Elijah Muhammad, the scientist of this world are taking their hats off to him in secret, because the genetic advances they are attempting, Elijah Muhammad was teaching in the 1930 before they even found their "magic bullet" to address polio. This books makes us put our feelings aside and look at the numbers to see if what he is saying adds up
