This is a collection of notebooks, notes and correspondence the Washington State Library librarians, Jeanne Engerman, later known as Jeanne Crisp, and others used to help organize the Governor's Writers Day; to develop the project "Washington Libraries Celebrate the Centennial", which was funded by the Washington Centennial Commission and published the book, "Governor's Writers Award: Washington's Literary Heritage". It includes correspondence to the winners of the Award; photographs of the Award Ceremony; photographs the writers sent and the proof of the book, "Governor's Writers Award: Washington's Literary Heritage." The collection includes approximately 1500 b & w 8x10 glossy photographs of the Awards Ceremonies. The photographs span several governors' administrations and some are signed by the governors. The collection also includes 10 blank certificates from the Booth Gardner administration that could be awarded to the authors. There is a certificate to Joanna Russ from the John Spellman administration. There are two signs from the award ceremony and 3 posters from the 25th anniversary ceremony for 1990. There is a guestbook for the 1978 ceremony. The collection also includes a map of the state titled: Governor's Book Awards, Washington's Literary Landscape. It also includes a 8.5 x 14" poster titled: Washington Libraries Celebrate the Centennial. It was issued about 1989 for the Washington Centennial to promote activities to celebrate Washington's Centennial

On his radio show Voice of Experience, Paul E. Casey ran a segment called "Profiles of Experience" which focused on interviews with notable individuals who were near or in retirement. The interviews include individuals from the fields of politics, media, sports, education, civics and entertainment. All individuals interviewed are from Washington State with the exception of sports and entertainment. Most of the interviews were conducted from 1994-1999. The politicians interviewed include former Washington Governors Daniel J. Evans, John Spellman and Mike Lowry and former Seattle Mayors Wesley Uhlman, Charles Royer, Norm Rice and Greg Nickels. The entire set includes about 70 interviews which average about 5 minutes in length. Includes letter of transmittal signed by Paul E. Casey
