The model wife by Arthur Ollman( Book )

1 edition published in 1999 in English and held by 268 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"With provocative photographs by some of the best-known photographers of the past century, The Model Wife is a striking and original book about the place where marriage and photography converge. Friends, lovers, confidantes, collaborators -- the multifaceted relationship between husband and wife takes on another dimension when the couple are also artist and muse. In The Model Wife, Arthur Ollman explores the imagery and photographic history of nine twentieth-century photographers who portrayed their wives over a period of years. He delves into issues of marriage itself and the powerful influences that such a partnership can have on artistic production. Comparisons between the couples and the resulting photographs enrich this discussion."--

Hibi by Masahika Fukase( Book )

3 editions published in 2016 in English and held by 6 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Le colophon indique : "Hibi was one of Masahisa Fukase's final bodies of work. Fukase photographed street cracks and fissures between 1990 and 1992, and then hand painted a set of 10 x 8" bromide prints. The series was shown in February 1992, in his solo exhibition 'Private Scenes '92' held at the Nikon Salon in Tokyo, alongside Private Scenes, Bukubuku, and Berobero. His working life came to an end four months later, when he fell down the stairs in Shinjuku Golden Gai, Tokyo, and suffered brain damage."

The solitude of ravens : a photographic narrative by Masahisa Fukase( Book )

3 editions published between 1991 and 1992 in English and held by 5 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"In The Solitude of Ravens Masahisa Fukase's work can be deemd to have reached its supreme height; it can also be said to have fallen to its greatest depth...If we attempted to peek any further into the abyss of solitude revealed...we would probably end up being abstracted in to a side-sweeping storm or else into a flock of ravens covering the sky."--Akira Hasegawa
