Unidentified caricature of a balding man with a beard, dressed in a coat with tails, in the process of pasting a poster entitled, "Discours de Mr. de Freycinet" (Discourse of Mr. de Freycinet). He has dipped his glue brush into a pan marked, "Boue de Décembre, 1851" (December Mud of 1851). On the ground beside him is a top hat containing a bottle labeled "Lourdes" and a pair of rosary beads. A large pot behind him is marked "Boue de Décembre 1851 (Conserves Ministeriells) [sic]"
