"The concertos are the most important Swedish works in the genre and I always felt they deserved a better and more widespread reputation. We worked a lot with dynamics and the character of the music, trying to see the score with new fresh eyes. I strongly feel it needed that. ‘My relation to his music is very personal and deep after playing it over 20 years. The colours, temper and the very unusual structure for example in the Second Piano Concerto are quite Swedish and show the mind of a great person. Enigmatic, humble but with a lot of passion and drama"--The performer on the Naxos website
