4 editions published in 2017 in English and held by 30 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This is a nostalgic, visual account of the best time and place to be a graffiti writer. In the 1980s, brothers Kenny, a.k.a. KEY, and Paul, a.k.a. CAVS, immersed themselves in the graffiti scene in the Boogie Down Bronx, dutifully photographing hundreds of pieces on now-discontinued MTA subway cars and capturing their proud comrades before, during, and after the act. Bombing White Elephants with their pilot markers and documenting them with their cameras, which they always carried, they were on the ride of their livesuntil 1989, when the last painted train was removed from service. Tags by names like QUIK, IZTHEWIZ, and many others appear here in color exposures, and dozens of artists share stories and drop knowledge with no filter. A foreword by graffiti historian Henry Chalfant, coproducer of Style Warsthe seminal documentary on New York graffiti and hip-hop culturekicks things off

Street art : the graffiti revolution by Cedar Lewisohn( Book )

3 editions published between 2008 and 2010 in English and held by 7 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"Street Art is a global phenomenon, one of the most popular and hotly discussed areas of art-making on the contemporary scene. Developing out of the graffiti tradition of the 1980s it has now reached the mainstream through the work of artists like Banksy and Futura 2000, becoming the subject of best-selling books and commanding high prices at auction." "Cedar Lewisohn has written the first account of this visual revolution to trace its history from cave painting through to the vibrant art emerging today on the walls of London, Madrid and Sao Paulo, via Brassai's photographs of 1920s Paris and Basquiat and Haring's New York. Superbly illustrated with over 120 colour photographs of street art from around the world, the book includes interviews with leading street art proponents of the last three decades, taking the reader behind their 'tags' to encounter the often mysterious figures who are transforming cities across the globe."--BOOK JACKET
