Collection of fine art prints, 1870-2003 (bulk 1900-1940), depicting New York City. Prints are mainly focused on architecture and public life in the city; skyline views of Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge, Greenwich Village, Central Park, the New York Stock Exchange, Flatiron Building, Woolowrth Building, and the World Trade Center are well-documented. More general prints show skyscrapers, subway images, neighborhood views, and historical scenes. The collection contains prints made by a variety of processes, including etchings, lithographs, chromolithogaphs, drypoints, aquatints, woodcuts, and linoleum prints, by over 100 different artists. Wallach Art Gallery and the Arthur Ross Gallery at Columbia University, Apr. 3-May 4, 1991.
