The problem of stellar energy by S Chandrasekhar ( Book )
1 edition published in 1938 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
"Following the Washington conference [Fourth Annual Conference on Theoretical Physics held in Washington, D.C. March 21-23, 1938] Chandraskhar, Gamow and Tuve issued a brief report on the meeting in Nature. In it they reported that 'some interesting conclusions had been reached' concerning nuclear transformations as the source of energy production in stars. They noted that the so-called 'Aufbauhypothese' the suggestion that the production of the heavier elements from hydrogen is continually taking place in the interiors of stars and that in the process energy is liberated had run into difficulty."--Http://oregonstate.edu/Dept/Special%5FCollections/subpages/ahp/1995symposium/schweber.html
