Intelligent CAD systems I : theoretical and methodological aspects by Eurographics Workshops on Intelligent CAD Systems$ (1st : 1987 :Noordwijkerhout)( Book )

6 editions published in 1987 in English and held by 147 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This book is a record of the 1st Eurographics Workshop on Intelligent CAD systems, held in Noordwijkerhout, The Netherlands, April 21-24, 1987, but it is not a mere collection of the papers; it includes revisions of all contributions from all over the world, chairpersons` reports for each session and a general report from the editors. The idea of intelligent CAD systems (or knowledge-based CAD or expert CAD systems) in now widely discussed among researchers in the field. However, there seem to be big difficulties in developing them, and these difficulties include both theoretical and implementational issues. The book highlights the theoretical and methological aspects in developing intelligent CAD systems such as: theoretical foundations, new methodology, achitecture of intelligent CAD systems, tools and techniques, design and use. The papers are submitted by authors from computer science, mechanical engineering, electronical engineering, architecture and civil engineering

Intelligent CAD systems III : practical experience and evaluation by Paul J. W Hagen( Book )

6 editions published in 1991 in English and held by 110 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This book contains a selection of revised papers presented at the Third Eurographics Workshop on Intelligent CAD Systems, held in the Netherlands in April 1989. The workshop theme was "Practical Experience and Evaluation" and its aim was to share the experience the participants gained by developing intelligent CAD systems, and to evaluate the developed systems to determine which features were still lacking. Topics such as design process models, system architecture, languages for intelligent CAD, geometric reason- ing, and user interfaces are highlighted. The papers are by authors from computer science, mathematics, architecture, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering, and civil engineering. This wide variety of backgrounds ensures a variety of approaches, to give the reader an up-to-date overview of a field which is developing day by day

A dataflow graphics workstation by P. J. W. ten Hagen( Book )

5 editions published in 1989 in English and held by 11 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Abstract: "A new, revolutionary architecture for a superworkstation for graphical purposes is presented. The architecture is based on the use of advanced graphics components and, mainly, on the heavy use of dataflow processing technology, a still unexplored field of parallel computing as far as graphics is concerned. The resulting initial configuration is able to produce 200.000 to 250.000 Gouraud shaded and Z-buffered 3D triangles in a second with a colour palette of 24 bits per pixels."
