Realization theory and design of digital images by Yasumichi Hasegawa( )

12 editions published in 2006 in English and Undetermined and held by 504 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

This monograph deals with the description and design of digital images. Regarding digital images as special input/output relations in our previous book with LNCIS series, the description problem of digital images is transformed into the realization problem of digital images. From the data in digital images, mathematical models will be constructed. Then new systems which describe faithfully any digital images provide new results and their extensions which design digital images. As concerned with mathematical models for digital images, this monograph introduces 2-Commutative Linear Representation Systems for two-dimensional images and 3-Commutative Linear Representation Systems for three-dimensional images. This monograph is intended for researchers and graduate students who specialized in image processing and system theory

Funeral Parade of Roses( Visual )

4 editions published in 1969 in Japanese and English and held by 5 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

An evocative journey through Tokyo's underground gay and transvestite club scene in the Shinjuku district. Director Matsumoto mixes documentary footage of street theater with staged scenes of Japanese youth culture as it existed in Tokyo in the late sixties. We follow Eddie, a popular young transvestite as he travels from bar to bar, eventually ending up in a drug fueled dance party where a game of spin the bottle leads to an orgy. The following day we observe Eddie and his two friends as they go shopping for womens clothing in a Tokyo shopping mall. As Funeral Parade of Roses progresses, the professional rivalry between Eddie, who dresses as a modern woman and his rival, a drag queen who prefers to dress as a traditional geisha, escalates as they vie for the attentions of cabaret manager Gonda. Funeral Parade of Roses is often cited as a major inspiration for Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange

This spin on the ninja genre opens in 1581 with the invasion of Iga, a "hidden land," by Oda, a rampaging warlord. 50,000 troops sweep through Iga - a province already developing as a center for ninja arts - slaughtering everyone and everything in their path. Among the few to survive is a ninja by the name of Juzo. Ten years later, when a new warlord, Toyotomi, has taken power, Juzo is sought out by his former master to kill the tyrant, who is busy making plans to invade Korea and Ming-dynasty China. As Juzo embarks on his mission, he enters into a game of mutual complicity with the enigmatic Kohagi, a spy for Toyotomi who nearly kills and then seduces the ninja. When Juzo finally does arrive at Toyotomi's castle, he meets Kazama, another Iga ninja, who wants to stop Juzo so that he can get enough credibility to become a legitimate samurai
