Die Stiftung Preussische Schlösser und Gärten Berlin-Brandenburg bewahrt eine der weltweit bedeutendsten Sammlungen französischer Malerei des 18. Jahrhunderts. Künstlerisch besonders interessant ist die Gruppe der Werke Antoine Watteaus, Nicolas Lancrets und Jean-Baptiste Paters, die nahezu 80 Gemälde umfasst. Das interdisziplinäre Vorgehen ermöglichte es, die Geschichte der Gemälde Watteaus, Lancrets und Paters aus dem Besitz der Stiftung Preussische Schlösser und Gärten erstmals umfassend darzustellen. Innovativ ist die besondere Aufmerksamkeit, die im vorliegenden Betandskatalog der sich wandelnden Präsentation der Gemälde in den Schlössern, ihren Bilderrahmen und den Restaurierungen seit dem frühen 18. Jahrhundert gewidmet wird

An antique bust is shown at the top, presumably the "Golden Head" which Siddall used as his shop-sign. Heal says of it "The head is possibly that of Glauber, a very popular sign with chemists", and Snodin repeats that as fact. However, it appears to be more like Galen or Hippocrates
