THE ELEMENTARY PARTICLE SPECTRUM ( Book )
1 edition published in 1965 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
The relativistic quantum theory of the symmetric top implies that the spin J of a particle state can be represented as the sum of four commuting spin operators of lengths given by the positive integers or half-integers n, n', l, l'. If (l + l') is identified with the isospin, 2(n' - n) with the strangeness, and, where applicable, ( -1) to the (n + n') power with the G parity, the simplest choices of n, n', l, l' lead to a correct description of J, I, S, G for every known strongly interacting meson or baryon state. A QUANTUM THEORY OF ELEMENTARY PARTICLES ( Book )
1 edition published in 1963 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
In view of the well-established significance of the Correspondence Principle, it seems surprising that dynamical variables and parameters such as angular velocity and moment of inertia, so important in classical physics, play no role in quantum theory. It has, therefore, seemed reasonable to conduct a reinvestigation of the relation between the Dirac equation and the classical equations of motion to see at what point the correspondence was lost. Klasik mekanik by H. C Corben( Book )
1 edition published in 1984 in Turkish and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
IF MICRONS WERE FERMIS ( Book )
1 edition published in 1964 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide
Evidence is rapidly accumulating that elementary particle states are simply the rotational levels of a symmetrical top, as derived from relativistic quantum mechanics. Some of this evidence is presented for the case of zero strangeness bosons. An analogy is drawn between this point of view and the nonrelativistic theory of the rotational levels of a rigid molecule.
