Alfred Grover Youngberg (1889-1959) was born in Beason, Illinois, son of Stephen Aaron Douglas Youngberg and Mary Kief. He later lived in Minnesota and married Bertha Oss in 1917. He was a descendant of John Peter Youngberg (1821-1871) and Johanna Peterson who were married in Sweden. John Peter later died in Mason County, Illinois. Also includes family of Jacob Kief (1815-1896) who was born in Baden, Germany and his wife, Maria Sybilla Fath (1826-1897). They came to the U.S. and eventually settled near Bongards, Minnesota. Includes family of Gullik Anderson Oss(1830-1890) and his wife Jøran Gulbrandsdatter Landrud who were married in 1856 in Norway and eventually settled in Nebraska
