Although relegated to non-combat duty, the 369th was sent to France and spent 191 days in front line trenches - longer than any other U.S. infantry unit. The 369th distinguished themselves at the campaigns of Champagne, Marne and Meuse-Argonne, fighting alongside French, Moroccan and Senegalese soldiers. Their story is told through the use of photographs, interviews with regiment veterans, and film from the French and American national archives. It was these men as well who brought American jazz to Paris and Europe
