Nedko Solakov : all in order, with exceptions : all in (my) order, with exceptions by Nedko Solakov( Book )

10 editions published in 2011 in English and held by 138 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"Nedko Solakov's art breaks the mold in many ways. Working in very different media, using found materials, drawing, painting, scribbling on walls, or videos, Solakov counteracts the principles and rules of order, deliberately including coincidences or accidents in his work. In order to present the full range of his humorous oeuvre, the catalogue All in Order, with Exceptions has taken an unusual tack: each of the four venues has selected one piece from every year included in the body of work created between 1980 to 2010. Yet these exemplary works can only be seen assembled in their entirety in this publication. Nedko Solakov (*1957 in Cherven Briag, Bulgaria), who participated in the 2007 Venice Biennale and the documenta 12, represents one of the crucial stances within European art. This volume is the first to provide a comprehensive overview of his oeuvre."--Publisher's website

Jürgen Partenheimer : discontinuity, paradox & precision by Jürgen Partenheimer( Book )

8 editions published in 2008 in English and German and held by 81 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Jürgen Partenheimer (born 1947) is an artist who, starting from the drawing and the graphic print, has over the past years developed a multi-layered work that extends to painting and sculpture. Partenheimer's work is essentially abstract. The poetic quality and the associative richness of his works burst through the boundaries of genres and media, so that it is no surprise if composers and musicians react to his works. Thus the South African-Irish musician Kevin Volans (born 1949) composed a piece of music in several movements that alludes to Partenheimer?s art. This fully illustrated catalogue has been published in collaboration with the Kunstmuseum, Bonn and includes a foreword by Ikon Director, Jonathan Watkins and Kunstmuseum Director, Stephan Berg; texts by Ikon Curator, Nigel Prince, Kunstmuseum curator Christoph Schreier, composer Kevin Volans, Jürgen Partenheimer, Kostantinos Karachalios and Laymert Garcia dos Santos. The catalogue also includes a CD of 'The Partenheimer Project', composed by Kevin Volans and performed by BCMG (Birmingham Contemporary Music Group)
