Isaac Coffin was born in 1759 in Boston. His parents were Nathaniel Coffin and Elizabeth Barnes. His grandparents were William Coffin and Ann Holmes. He entered the Royal British Navy when he was fourteen years old and fought in the American Revolution. After the war he moved to London, England. He married Elizabeth Browne in 1811 and they had no children. He died 12 June 1838 in New Brunswick
