Personal correspondence and other papers, in part relating to Craig's activities as member of the North Carolina legislature (1898-1903) and as governor (1913-1917). Includes copies of political and religious speeches, and one on Freemasonry; and a chemistry notebook kept by Craig while a student at the University of North Carolina. The correspondence includes recommendations from university professors; letters from his mother; letters from Craig to his sons, Carlyle and Arthur, at the U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis; and a letter from Carlyle Craig describing a voyage to the Azores and the Island of Fayal.
