Marked: private & to be burnt. The members of the legislature are wholly disinclined to take up the subject of the presidential question. The sentiment is general that a Washington caucus must determine the candidate for the Republicans. Some say yourself, some say Mr. Clay, a few Mr. Adams and more Mr. Crawford. The vice president received enough money to pay all his debts and leave him $40,000. Letter dated New York, Mayor's Office, March 23, 1832, to Edward P. Livingston, president of the Court of Errors. Bowne is enclosing a copy of the resolutions passed offering a room for the accommodation of the Court for the Correction of Errors at its fall session. Letter dated Mayor's Office August 31, 1832, to Valentine Nutter. Expresses thanks for his donation for the benefit of the poor

Letter dated January 8, 1814, to Mayor DeWitt Clinton of New York describing the desperate situation in Niagara and Genesee counties and soliciting assistance for the residents. Letter dated January 26, 1814, from Edward P. Livingston respecting funds he is sending to the Committe of Safety and Relief for the destitute inhabitants of the Western frontier. Letter dated January 28, 1814, from New York mayor DeWitt Clinton to the Canandaigua Committee of Safety and Relief. Transmitting funds for the "western brethren" for relief. Clinton sends a copy of the proceedings of the Common Council on this matter and hopes to send other remittances soon
