Solly finds himself in a series of adventures: in a Russian orphanage, captured by a German unit, celebrated as a hero, and sent in triumph to a Hitler Youth School. Although born on the same day as the Führer, Solly is circumcised and so must avoid intimate encounters. He fends off both a homosexual Nazi and a beautiful, virulently anti-Semitic girlfriend who's dying to conceive an Aryan child for the Fatherland. Despite some narrow escapes, Solly thrives through the chaos, as it seems a higher power is keeping an eye on him.
