Most widely held works by Judith Lemon
Distinguished lecture series: industry leaders in computer science( Visual )

1 edition published in 1987 in English and held by 10 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"Chairmen and faculty of over 50 computer science departments nominated industry scientists whose lectures they would like to have available on videotape for use in their classrooms. University Video Communications arranged industry sponsorship for these leading nominees and topics."--- back of each video container. An example is Apollo sponsoring David Nelson on "Network Computing."
Massively parallel supercomputing the Connection Machine by W. Daniel Hillis( Visual )

1 edition published in 1990 in English and held by 7 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Summary: Contrasts Von Neumann machines with data parallel machines, discusses the major issues in design of data parallel machines, and comments on the future development
Adolescent interpretation of aggressive television content by Judith Lemon( )

2 editions published in 1979 in English and held by 5 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Dan Ingalls : "Object-oriented programming" by Dan Ingalls( Visual )

1 edition published in 1989 in English and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Describes object-oriented programming, an approach in which software organization corresponds closely to the complex systems being simulated. Object-oriented programming supplants conventional procedure-calls with a more general mechanism of sending messages, and therefore greatly enhances the flexibility and reusability of software components
Teaching Children to Become More Critical Consumers of Television by Judith Lemon( Book )

2 editions published in 1976 in English and held by 3 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

With television operating as an important socializing influence, children need to become critical consumers and they can be taught the necessary evaluative skills. Explicit discussion is seen as a means of developing awareness of various facets of tv programming, E.G., the relationship of reality to content, stereotyped images presented, any bias which may be introduced by the commercial basis of much tv production. Games are suggested as a method to be used by parents and children, and the tv industry is asked to provide more examples of how programs are produced as well as more explicit labeling for programs based on true incidents. The single most important means of transmitting these skills is seen to be coviewing and discussion with parents. (Kp)
Advanced packaging key technology for the nineties by Dennis Herrell( Visual )

1 edition published in 1990 in English and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

Summary: Sets the technical and economical goals for advanced packaging, demonstrating that future chip development is dependent upon the development of packaging technology. Also reviews present packaging technology and outlines critical considerations for packaging design in the 90's, stressing multichip modules

Discusses the history of the design and application of user interfaces, using the "windows and mouse" style as an example
Optimizing compilers for parallel computers by Frances E Allen( Visual )

1 edition published in 1990 in English and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

Summary: Focuses on parallelizing "dusty-deck" Fortran programs for shared-memory, parallel computers. Technologies for program analysis, the formation of parallelism, and program transformations are described and a brief overview is given of the relationship of parallelization to other components of parallel software systems, in particular to traditional optimization, operating systems, and application-enablement environments
