Includes report of Capt. George Pollard relating to Pollard's experiences after his boat was separated from Nickerson's (Jan. 14, 1821) until his rescue with Charles Ramsdell by the ship Dauphin; and information concerning the rescue by the ship Surry of the three other Essex crew members (who survived in a third boat) stranded on a Pacific island
