Correspondances de Howe sur un corps p-adique by Colette Moeglin ( Book )
14 editions published between 1987 and 2008 in French and English and held by 437 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
This book grew out of seminar held at the University of Paris 7 during the academic year 1985-86. The aim of the seminar was to give an exposition of the theory of the Metaplectic Representation (or Weil Representation) over a p-adic field. The book begins with the algebraic theory of symplectic and unitary spaces and a general presentation of metaplectic representations. It continues with exposés on the recent work of Kudla (Howe Conjecture and induction) and of Howe (proof of the conjecture in the unramified case, representations of low rank). These lecture notes contain several original results. The book assumes some background in geometry and arithmetic (symplectic forms, quadratic forms, reductive groups, etc.), and with the theory of reductive groups over a p-adic field. It is written for researchers in p-adic reductive groups, including number theorists with an interest in the role played by the Weil Representation and -series in the theory of automorphic forms
Spectral decomposition and Eisenstein series : une paraphrase de l'écriture by Colette Moeglin ( Book )
9 editions published in 1995 in English and French and held by 301 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
The decomposition of the space L[superscript 2] (G(Q)\G(A)), where G is a reductive group defined over Q and A is the ring of adeles of Q, is a deep problem at the intersection of number and group theory. Langlands reduced this decomposition to that of the (smaller) spaces of cuspidal automorphic forms for certain subgroups of G. This book describes this proof in detail. The starting point is the theory of automorphic forms, which can also serve as a first step towards understanding the Arthur-Selberg trace formula. To make the book reasonably self-contained, the authors also provide essential background in subjects such as: automorphic forms; Eisenstein series; Eisenstein pseudo-series, and their properties. It is thus also an introduction, suitable for graduate students, to the theory of automorphic forms, the first written using contemporary terminology. It will be welcomed by number theorists, representation theorists, and all whose work involves the Langlands' program

Cohomology of Drinfeld modular varieties by Gérard Laumon ( Book )
8 editions published between 1997 and 2009 in English and held by 27 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
Cohomology of Drinfeld Modular Varieties aims to provide an introduction to this subject and to the Langlands correspondence for function fields. These varieties are the analogues for function fields of the Shimura varieties over number fields. The Langlands correspondence is a conjectured link between automorphic forms and Galois representations over a global field. By analogy with the number-theoretic case, one expects to establish the conjecture for function fields by studying the cohomology of Drinfeld modular varieties, which has been done by Drinfeld himself for the rank two case. This second volume is concerned with the ArthurSHSelberg trace formula, and to the proof in some cases of the Ramanujan-Petersson conjecture and the global Langlands conjecture for function fields. The author uses techniques that are extensions of those used to study Shimura varieties. Though the author considers only the simpler case of function rather than number fields, many important features of the number field case can be illustrated. Several appendices on background material keep the work reasonably self-contained. This book will be of much interest to all researchers in algebraic number theory and representation theory

ENGENDREMENT PAR DES SERIES THETA DE CERTAINS ESPACES DE FORMES MODULAIRES. ON ETUDIE LES SERIES THETA ASSOCIEES A DES FORMES QUADRATIQUES DEFINIES POSITIVES, A UN NOMBRE PAIR DE VARIABLES. CORRESPONDANCE DE SHIMURA ET SHINTANI: ON ETUDIE EN TERMES ADELIQUES LES SERIES THETA ASSSOCIEES A UNE FORME QUADRATIQUE INDEFINIE A 3 VARIABLES
DESCRIPTION DE LA CORRESPONDANCE DE HOWE EN TERMES DE CLASSIFICATION DE KAZHDAN-LUSZTIG by Anne-Marie Aubert ( Book )
1 edition published in 1990 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
1 edition published in 2011 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
This thesis consists of two parts and four chapters. In Chapter I, we establish a formalism of endoscopy for the metaplectic group Mp(2n). We prove the transfer of orbital integrals and the fondamental lemma. In Chapter II, we state and prove a variant of Arthur's weighted fundamental lemma for metaplectic groups, which is conditional upon the nonstandard weighted fundamental lemma. In Chapter III, we consider the Arthur-Selberg trace formula for a quite general class of covers of connected reductive groups, including Mp(2n). We establish the unrefined trace formula and the refined geometric expansion. In Chapter IV, we attack the spectral side of the trace formula by studying some results of local harmonic analysis. In particular, we establish the invariant local trace formula for covers
Sur le transfert des intégrales orbitales pour les groupes linéaires (cas p-adique) by François Courtès ( Book )
1 edition published in 1996 in French and held by 2 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
LE BUT DE CETTE THESE EST DE RESOUDRE LE PROBLEME DU TRANSFERT DES INTEGRALES ORBITALES DE SLN(F), OU F EST UN CORPS LOCAL NON ARCHIMEDIEN, A SES GROUPES ENDOSCOPIQUES, DANS LE CAS OU LA CARACTERISTIQUE RESIDUELLE P DE F EST STRICTEMENT SUPERIEURE A N. ON DEMONTRE EN FAIT LE RESULTAT SUIVANT (QUI IMPLIQUE LE TRANSFERT POUR SLN) : SI G = GLN(F) ET H=GLM(E), OU E EST UNE EXTENSION DE F MODEREMENT RAMIFIEE DE DEGRE N/M, ET SI P EST QUELCONQUE, LE TRANSFERT DE G A H MARCHE POUR LES ELEMENTS SEMI-SIMPLES REGULIERS ENGENDRANT DANS MN(F) UNE ALGEBRE QUI EST PRODUIT D'EXTENSIONS MODEREMENT RAMIFIIES DE F. AU VOISINAGE DE L'UNITE, ON PEUT DEVELOPPER LES INTEGRALES ORBITALES SUR G ET H EN GERMES DE SHALIKA, ET EN DEDUIRE QU'IL SUFFIT DE LES COMPARER POUR DES FONCTIONS APPARTENANT A UN CERTAIN ESPACE. POUR CES FONCTIONS, ON A UN AUTRE DEVELOPPEMENT EN GERMES, LIES AUX TRACES TORDUES D'INDUITES DE REPRESENTATIONS DE STEINBERG. ON CALCULE DONC DE TELLES TRACES POUR DES FONCTIONS BIEN CHOISIES ; PUIS POUR CES MEMES FONCTIONS, ON ETABLIT DES RELATIONS DE RECURRENCE (SUR N) SUR LA VALEUR DES INTEGRALES ORBITALES, D'OU L'ON DEDUIT DES RELATIONS DE RECURRENCE SUR LA VALEUR DES GERMES. ON OBTIENT EGALEMENT DES RELATIONS DE RECURRENCE SUR LA VALEUR DES FACTEURS DE TRANSFERT ; TOUTES CES RELATIONS PERMETTENT DE COMPARER LA VALEURS DES GERMES SUR G ET SUR H ; LE RESULTAT CHERCHE S'EN DEDUIT
