Wes gives Mr. Peepers two tickets to the drive-in movie and lends him his car. Robinson goes to ask Nancy for a date, but discovers she has just accepted an invitation from Freddy. Wes advises Peepers to pretend he has a date himself, but the ruse soon fails when he inadvertently parks next to Nancy and her date. The hood of his car gets stuck, blocking his view, so, at Nancy's invitation, he moves into the back seat of Freddy's car. Freddy does not take this gracefully. Marilyn Monroe rivets both Robinson and Freddy. Robinson volunteers to go the concession stand, but when he returns, he gets into the wrong car in the dark. Later he confesses to Nancy that he told a lie about having a date, and she says she would rather have gone with him. It starts to snow and Freddy's convertible top tears; Nancy and Freddy end up sitting in Robinson's car to get warm
