Newsletter for the interchange of genealogical data and history on the Bingham (and variant spellings) families who came mainly from the city of Bingen, in Rhine Valley of Germany, and from England, and Ireland (especially Northern Ireland). Some are descendants of Sir John de Byngham, who lived in Nottingham, England, ca. 1066. Some of his descendants moved to Northern Ireland. An immigrant ancestor, Thomas Bingham left Sheffield, England in 1659, and landed at Saybrook, Connecticut. Other Binghams also lived in Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, and Virginia in the 1600-1700s. During the 1800s, some settled in Ontario (Canada), and in Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Later descendants also lived in Alberta (Canada), Northern Ireland, and in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Washington D.C., and elsewhere
