The letters relate to routine counter charges of Major Generals Hill and Heath and include letters and reports from Hill, Heth, Major R. C. Morgan, and other Confederate officers. The volume also contains two printed general orders from Adjutant and Inspector General S. Cooper (January 5 and 7, 1863)
