""Histoires" a paru la même année que "Paroles", en 1946. On peut voir dans les courts textes que contient ce recueil une des raisons du succés de Prévert. Chacun de ces textes est une histoire, et parfois une fable. Il ne se raconte pas seulement lui-même, mais raconte "ce qui arrive" ou "est arrivé"

Casque d'or Golden Marie by Jacques Becker( )

1 edition published in 2004 in Spanish and held by 1 WorldCat member library worldwide

Directed by Jacques Becker, Casque D'or was loosely based on a love affair and murder that took place in the Belleville section of Paris at the end of the 19th century. In a remarkable performance, Simone Signoret plays Marie a young courtesan who has tired of her gangster lover and is looking for a new conquest. At a Belleville dance hall she meets George Manda who has recently been released from prison. They begin a love affair that quickly leads to murder and Manda's flight from the police. Realizing that he has been double crossed by the local syndicate boss, Manda hunts him down and shoots him inside a Belleville police station. The film ends as Marie rents a room overlooking the prison yard where Manda is to be guillotined. Although Casque D'or was filmed in 1952 it is memorable for its use of real locations, streets and neighborhoods of Paris that had changed little since the nineteenth century. The settings along with the cinematography by, Robert Le Febvre recreate the world of the Apaches, making Casque D'or more than simply a dramatic reconstruction of turn of the century Paris
