Descendants lived in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona and elsewhere. Includes discussion of various Corry immigrants, together with some family history in Ireland

The Brodnax/Broadnax family originally of Kent County, England. William (1675-1726/7), son of Robert Brodnax, came to Virginia about 1699 and settled in Jamestown. He married Rebecca Champion (ca. 1677-1723). She was the widow of William Travis (d. 1700). They had three children, William, Edward and Elizabeth Rebecca. Most of the descendants of these compilations stem from William and Edward. Ancestors traced to early 1400s

He was probably the great-grand- father of Hardy Cain (ca. 1768-1814) of Nash County, North Carolina, who married Mary Foreman. They moved to Georgia and then to Amite County, Mississippi. Descendants and relatives lived in North Caro- lina, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and elsewhere. Includes many Cain families in Mississippi (with some of their descendants and relatives), without tracing a direct connection to Hardy Cain (ca. 1768-1814)
