What is happening to the climate? Climate Change 2007 - The Physical Science Basis is the most comprehensive and up-to-date scientific assessment of past, present and future climate change. This report has been produced by some 600 authors from 40 countries, over 620 experts and a large number of government reviewers. Providing insights into the effects of human activity on the atmosphere, and containing an evaluation of observed climatic changes using the latest measurement techniques, the report also includes a detailed review of climate change observations and modelling for every continent as well as the first probabilistic evaluation of climate model simulations. Simply put, this latest summary from the IPCC forms the standard scientific reference for all those concerned with climate change and its consequences, including students and researchers in environmental science, meteorology, climatology, biology, ecology and atmospheric chemistry, and policy makers in governments and industry worldwide

Aviation and the global atmosphere : a special report of IPCC Working Groups I and III in collaboration with the Scientific Assessment Panel to the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer( Book )

6 editions published in 1999 in English and held by 250 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

"This Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Special Reports is the most comprehensive assessment available of the effects of aviation on the global atmosphere. The report considers all the gases and particles emitted by aircraft into the atmosphere and the role they play in modifying the chemical properties of the atmosphere and initiating the formation of contrails. The report then considers how all this can modify the radiative properties of the atmosphere, leading to climate change, and how it can modify the ozone layer, leading to changes in ultraviolet radiation reaching the Earth. The report also considers how potential changes in aircraft technology, air transport operations, and the institutional, regulatory, and economic framework might affect emissions in the future." "This volume provides accurate, unbiased, policy-relevant information to serve the aviation industry, policymakers, environmental organizations, and researchers in global change, atmospheric chemistry, and economics."--Jacket

[Climate change 2013] : [the physical science basis] : summary for policymakers by Lisa V Alexander( )

1 edition published in 2014 in English and held by 0 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The Working Group I contribution to the IPCC's Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) considers new evidence of climate change based on many independent scientific analyses from observations of the climate system, paleoclimate archives, theoretical studies of climate processes and simulations using climate models. It builds upon the Working Group I contribution to the IPCC's Fourth Assessment Report (AR4), and incorporates subsequent new findings of research. As a component of the fifth assessment cycle, the IPCC Special Report on Managing the Risks of Extreme Events and Disasters to Advance Climate Change Adaptation (SREX) is an important basis for information on changing weather and climate extremes. This Summary for Policymakers (SPM) follows the structure of the Working Group I report. The narrative is supported by a series of overarching highlighted conclusions which, taken together, provide a concise summary. Main sections are introduced with a brief paragraph in italics which outlines the methodological basis of the assessment
Changements climatiques 2013 : les éléments scientifiques : Résumé à l'intention des décideurs by Lisa V Alexander( )

2 editions published in 2014 in French and held by 0 WorldCat member libraries worldwide
