Nosferatu a symphony of horror by F. W Murnau( Visual )

41 editions published between 1922 and 2013 in 6 languages and held by 593 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

The quintessential silent vampire film, crafted by legendary German director F. W. Murnau. Rather than depicting Dracula as a shape-shifting monster or debonair gentleman, Murnau's Graf Orlok is a nightmarish, spidery creature of bulbous head and taloned claws, perhaps the most genuinely disturbing incarnation of vampirism yet envisioned. Features two versions of the film, the original German intertitles (with optional English subtitles) or English intertitles
Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse by Fritz Lang( Visual )

29 editions published between 1932 and 2016 in 4 languages and held by 569 WorldCat member libraries worldwide

In 1922 Fritz Lang made the two-part film "Dr Mabuse, der Spieler" ("Dr Mabuse, the Gambler"). He revived his evil genius in 1933 for this talkie sequel which picks up precisely where the original had ended, with Mabuse's madness, capture and incarceration. Mabuse has been in an asylum for ten years, but his crime organisation is still perpetrating an insane orgy of wanton destruction, threats, shoot-outs, thefts, explosions, bombings, burnings, and floodings. Banned by the Nazis, the film is one of Fritz Lang's most inventive crime thrillers
